Ext4Kit is a macOS app and file system extension that mounts Linux ext4 drives. It is designed to collect nothing.
Ext4Kit does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, usage data, file contents, file names, or device identifiers. The app and its extension have no network access.
The optional Write Access purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Ext4Kit receives only a confirmation that your Apple ID owns the purchase, which it stores on your Mac to decide whether drives mount read-write. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's privacy policy.
Ext4Kit reads and writes the drives you attach, on your instruction, exactly as any file system does. Nothing about those files leaves your Mac.
If you choose to send a log to help with a problem, you create it yourself with a command shown in the app and send it by email. It is used only to investigate your report and deleted afterwards.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.
